by Alison Glass
Like so many of you, we've been totally enthralled with Alison's new Kaleidoscope fabric.
It's a woven cotton, but it's unlike anything you've seen before. It's the perfect weight and hand and of course, the colors are sublime. We knew we had offer you a monthly program to recreate this quilt.
If you read through the pattern, this quilt is all about making something YOU love. So, we'll provide the building materials and then you can create.
Our monthly kits will include Alison's Kaleidoscope fabric plus select Mariner's Cloth as recommended by her.
We're giving you a choice of sizes--the 52" x 60" throw shown or a double-size 76" x 92" or a queen-size 92" x 108". For customers opting for the queen-size kit, we'll include select Alison Glass prints from her recent lines to increase the variety of fabrics used in the quilt.
The pattern is primarily foundation paper pieced so we'll include generous yardage so you don't have to worry about sewing with this technique.
To start, order the pattern here
if you don't already have it.
Then, reserve your spot
in the program by selecting the size quilt you want. This is a10 month program with the first kits shipping in October due to a delay in the background fabric. Prices do not include shipping but see below about a new way to save on shipping!
We're excited, though, with this program to debut a new shipping feature. If you belong to more than one of our blocks of the month, you can opt for a single BOM shipment at the end of each month. To keep the process smooth on our end, we'll charge your card for the fabric kits as they become available during the month. Then, around the 28th of each month, we'll assemble all of that month's kits into a single shipment and send them to you as economically as possible, charging you shipping just once. For those who are in several of our programs, this should generate some significant savings. To take advantage of this program, just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate you want to convert to once-a-month shipping and list what programs you are currently in (if you remember! :) ).
All of our Special Programs or Monthly Programs require a commitment from you for the length of the program. Signing up for a Block of the Month is the same as putting a "quilt" on lay-away". You are making a commitment to purchase the entire set of patterns or kits. You have the choice of prepaying for the entire BOM or paying on a monthly basis. There are NO exceptions to this rule, so please don't ask if you can discontinue a program once you've joined in.
