Ella Maria Deacon quilt

We love quilts based on antique treasures and the Ella Maria Deacon quilt is a real find.

This quilt has been patterned by Gay over at Sentimental Stitches. It finishes at about 106" square!

You can read all about it on her blog. Patterns are available from Gay & she's offering a special plan to catch up folks who have just now discovered the pattern and want to join our monthly program. Visit her here.

After months of searching, we're thrilled to announce that we have a stripe coming in that is perfect for that sashing. That now gives us a lot of confidence to move forward with the program.

The fabric kits will start shipping in early June. This will be a 16 month program. There are 85 total blocks in the quilt. Since Gay has already released some of the blocks, we'll be sending fabric to make 6 blocks per month for 14 months. The sashing will ship early in the program (when it's available.) We'll include setting triangles and binding too.

Gay recommends 9 yards of background fabric. We're using Marcus Fabrics' Aged Muslin in cream. If you want to use this background, order it here. We're offering BOM members a discount.

Then, sign up for the monthly fabric kits. There are 16 total. Each monthly kit is just $13.95. We plan to follow the color plan of the original quilt as much as possible. The Baltimore Album style of quilts and fabrics are in limited supply these days but we are actively working with vendors to get all the right colors and prints that we can.

We're so excited about this program and hope you join us on the journey.
