A Bountiful Life

Available in your choice of all cotton or cotton background with hand-dyed wools for applique!

And, choose 12 months or 24 months!

Karen Mowery has done an immense favor to the quilting world by creating the patterns needed to recreate the famous "A Bountiful Life" quilt from the American Folk Art Musuem. The quilt finishes at 69" x 83". We are going to offer it in both wools and cottons so please, join in with us in making your choice of this fabulous quilt.

To start, you'll need Karen's book.  It retails for $27.95. We'll be offering our program participants a 20% discount making the book $22.36. Order the book here.

The quilt needs 6 1/2 yards of background fabric. We're offering two choices. Pick your favorite at a discount, or of course, you can select your own background fabric.

Choice one is this Primitive Muslin from Moda in the Pie Crust color. Normally, $64.94, program participants will get the background at 20% off making it $51.95. Order Pie Crust here.

Choice two is Marcus Aged Muslin in color 140-140, a slightly darker, more aged looking fabric. Again, normally $64.94, program participants will get the background at 20% off making it $51.95. Order Aged Muslin here.

Then, decide if you want to make this quilt over 12 months or 24 months. You'll make 2 blocks per month if you choose the 12 month option. If you like a slower pace, 24 months will have you make one block or one border side per month.

We'll be kitting in colors as close to Karen's quilt as shown.

If you choose the 12 month option, your monthly kits are $29.95. Those in the 24 month option will pay just $14.95 per month.

Then, for the wool kits, we're offering the same choice of 12 or 24 months. Kits to make the wool applique version over 12 months will be $47.90. Wool kits over a 24 month period will be $23.95 each month.

Select your choice of kits here!

The first kits will ship in March due to availability of the background. We hope you'll join us in recreating this beauty.

All of our Special Programs or Monthly Programs require a commitment from you for the length of the program. Signing up for a Block of the Month is the same as putting a "quilt" on lay-away. You are making a commitment to purchase the entire set of patterns or kits. You have the choice of prepaying for the entire BOM or paying on a monthly basis. There are NO exceptions to this rule, so please don't ask if you can discontinue a program once you've joined in.
