Sarah's Revival

Thirty-six papercut blocks using different reds, four borders and four cornerstone blocks, all appliqued, comprise this beautiful quilt. Sarah's Revival pays homage to Sarah Holcomb's wonderful quilt, hand pieced and appliqued in 1847. The redesign of Sarah's quilt, using unique and original blocks and borders, gives applique enthusiasts an opportunity to make their own tribute to Sarah. 

Quilt finishes at 88 ½” square.

Start by purchasing your background fabric.  You need 8 ½ yards. We are offering two choices or of course, you can select your own background fabric. Our options are Moda’s Bella Solid in the Snow color. Normally, 8 ½ yards of this background would be $59.50. Members of our program will get 20% off making the background $47.60. Order Snow here.

Or select Moda’s French Swirl print. This choice would typically retail for $82.88. Program participants will receive a 20% discount making the background $66.30. Order French Swirl here.

Then, sign up to receive monthly kits which include the patterns.. This is a 12 month program. In months 1-11 you’ll receive fabrics for the blocks and/or applique borders. Months 1-11 are each $18.50. In month 12, you’ll receive the fabrics for the dogtooth border, sashing, and binding. Month 12 is $51.95.

We’ll be using a wide variety of reds as shown including lots of the great reds coming in the Friendship collection by Moda. The first kits will ship in March, 2012.

All of our Special Programs or Monthly Programs require a commitment from you for the length of the program. Signing up for a Block of the Month is the same as putting a "quilt" on lay-away". You are making a commitment to purchase the entire set of patterns or kits. You have the choice of prepaying for the entire BOM or paying on a monthly basis. There are NO exceptions to this rule, so please don't ask if you can discontinue a program once you've joined in.
