2009 Kansas City Star Block of the Month Designed by Sarah Maxwell & Dolores Smith
In 2010, America will celebrate the 90th anniversary of women securing the right to vote. The women who gathered at the Seneca Falls Convention in 1848 could not have imagined that it would take more than 70 years to attain this fundamental right. Many women fought for equality and voting rights throughout these years. Kansas City Star quilts’ block-of-the-month project will highlight twelve of those women who influenced the history of women’s rights.
Starting in January, 2009, we will ship monthly kits to make each of the 12 featured blocks. The original quilt is designed exclusively with Marcus Fabrics 1800s reproductions. Sign up now to reserve your spot & be guaranteed kits that recreate the original quilt. Finished quilt is 88” x 112”. |

Kit price is designed so at the end of the program, you will have all the fabrics for the complete top including borders. Reserve your spot now as spaces will be limited by fabric availability!
All of our Special Programs or Monthly Programs require a commitment from
you for the length of the program. Signing up for a Block of the Month is the
same as putting a "quilt" on lay-away. You are making a commitment
to purchase the entire set of patterns or kits. You have the choice of prepaying
for the entire BOM or paying on a monthly basis. There are NO exceptions to
this rule, so please don't ask if you can discontinue a program once you've
joined in.
