Civil War Love Letters
Because so many of you have asked, we are offering a new round of Civil War Love Letters based on Rosemary Youngs book.
For this program, we’ll give you the opportunity to purchase your background for the blocks and sashing all at once so your background is coordinated. Then, we’ll kit the fabrics for the blocks and offer you a choice of border fabrics later in the program.
The quilt has 121 six-inch blocks. We’ll send you fabric to make 5 blocks per month over the course of 24 months. By signing up, you are committing to stay in the program for all 24 months. |
 |
We’ve visited with Rosemary about the background requirements for the quilt. If you plan to use the same background in all the blocks, she suggests purchasing 3 yards. If you also want to use the background in the sashing as she did, then she suggests 8 yards.
We’re recommending a wonderful aged muslin for this project available here for $8.50 per yard. This is a very nice, slightly aged looking background. It's the perfect complement to this program.

A companion CD that works with Electric Quilt is also available for $15 which will allow you to print out either rotary cutting or paper piecing directions for the blocks.
Block kits are just $11.95. The first kits will ship in late October, 2008.
All of our Special Programs or Monthly Programs require a commitment from
you for the length of the program. Signing up for a Block of the Month is the
same as putting a "quilt" on lay-away. You are making a commitment
to purchase the entire set of patterns or kits. You have the choice of prepaying
for the entire BOM or paying on a monthly basis. There are NO exceptions to
this rule, so please don't ask if you can discontinue a program once you've
joined in.
