Antique Pyramids

So we love every quilt in the History Repeated book and we’ve just been trying to figure out how to make all of them. Monthly programs make projects so much more achievable since you can work on them a little at a time so we’re going to offer some of the quilts in the book in that format.

First up is the Pyramids quilt. The program will be based on the Antique Divas Pyramid quilt which finishes at 77” x 89”. So you can personalize this project, we’re offering setting yardage in your choice of colors, to correspond with the projects In the book. (If you haven’t seen the book yet, a group of gals exchanged blocks then set them together on their own, so you can see each block set together in a variety of ways.)

The Cheddar version

To start, you need the book. Order it here. It retails for $26.95 but members of our program will receive a 25% discount off the retail price when we process your order.

Then, select your setting fabric—we’re offering your choice of cheddar (with green for inner border), double pink (with blue for inner border) or black (with red for inner border), all from Marcus Brothers’ Bonnie Blue Basics lines. To set the quilt as shown, you need 5 2/3 yards of fabric for setting, borders and binding and 2/3 yard of a contrast for the inner border. This fabric now retails for $10.50 a yard making your finishing kit retail for $66.36. Purchase it now if you are part of our monthly program and receive 20% off the retail price making it $53.08. Of course, you’re free to purchase your own finishing fabrics later.

Then, sign up to receive the monthly block kits. You’ll make a total of 140 pyramid blocks. Templates for the shapes are included in the book. We recommend you use a 60 degree ruler to rotary cut the shapes. Our favorite is the Creative Grids ruler available here.

This is a ten month program. Each monthly kit is just $9.95 and we’ll send you at least 40 different fabrics each month for your blocks. The first kits will ship in December, so reserve your spot now.

All of our Special Programs or Monthly Programs require a commitment from you for the length of the program. Signing up for a Block of the Month is the same as putting a "quilt" on lay-away. You are making a commitment to purchase the entire set of patterns or kits. You have the choice of prepaying for the entire BOM or paying on a monthly basis. There are NO exceptions to this rule, so please don't ask if you can discontinue a program once you've joined in.
